Prompt Improver: fix the prompt that isn't working
When a prompt gives you a mediocre answer, the fix is rarely "ask nicer". It is usually a missing constraint, an unstated format, or a question that is really three questions. Paste the prompt that disappointed you and compare the two versions side by side.

How it works
- 1
Both versions get the same score
Before and after are scored by the same deterministic scorer, so the improvement is a measurement, not a claim the model makes about its own work.
- 2
Every change is named
"What changed" is computed by comparing the two prompts — added role, defined output structure, added constraints — not by asking the model what it did.
- 3
You keep the original
The Original tab keeps your text exactly as you wrote it, so you can go back or take only the parts you like.
When to use it
The answer is too general
Almost always a missing audience and a missing goal. Watch the Context and Specificity dimensions move when those are added.
The answer is the wrong shape
You wanted a table and got three paragraphs. An explicit output format usually fixes it in one line.
The model ignores half the request
Long prompts with several asks buried in prose get partially answered. Numbered requirements survive much better.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my score only go up a little?
Usually because the improved prompt still contains placeholders. Fill in the bracketed parts — they are the details only you know — and score it again.
Can I improve a prompt without an AI rewrite?
Yes. The analyzer scores your prompt and lists what to fix without calling a model at all, and it is unlimited.
Does this work for image prompts?
Choose Midjourney as the target and the rewrite tightens a descriptor line rather than building sections — adding the lens, framing and lighting terms yours was missing. If you have nothing written yet, the Midjourney generator starts from a plain sentence.
What if I disagree with a change?
Edit it. The result is a starting point, and you can copy it, tweak it, or regenerate at a different optimization level.
