Free Prompt Optimizer

Most prompts fail for boring reasons: no role, no audience, no output format, no constraints. Paste what you have and the optimizer rewrites it into a structured prompt for the model you picked, then scores both versions so you can see exactly what changed.

Your optimized prompt will appear here

Write a rough prompt, pick the AI you'll use it with, and optimize.

How it works

  • 1

    It reads your prompt first

The prompt is scored across seven dimensions before anything is rewritten, so the optimizer knows whether it is missing context, constraints, a format or all three.

  • 2

It asks only when it has to

If something essential is missing — the audience, the goal, the format — you get two to four quick questions. A prompt that is already specific skips straight to the rewrite.

  • 3

It writes for your target model

The same prompt comes out differently for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, because each one responds to a different structure. You choose the target; the optimizer handles the syntax.

When to use it

  • A prompt that keeps giving generic answers

Generic output usually means the prompt never said who the answer is for. The optimizer adds the audience, the goal and the constraints it can infer, and marks the rest for you to fill in.

  • Reusing a prompt across a team

A structured prompt is easier for someone else to adapt. Sections make it obvious where to change the audience or the format without rewriting the whole thing.

  • Moving a prompt between AI tools

A prompt tuned for ChatGPT often underperforms in Claude. Re-optimize for the new target instead of pasting the old one and hoping.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is the prompt optimizer free?

Yes. A free account includes 20 optimizations a month, and prompt scoring is unlimited for everyone, signed in or not. No card, ever.

  • Will it invent details about my product?

No. The optimizer is instructed never to invent facts. Anything it cannot know becomes a bracketed placeholder like [your audience] for you to fill in, and those placeholders lower the score until they are replaced.

  • Does a longer prompt always score higher?

No. Length is not one of the seven scored dimensions. A short, specific prompt with a clear format can outscore a long, vague one — and Quick mode exists precisely so a decent prompt does not get padded.

  • Which models can it optimize for?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Claude Code, Cursor, Midjourney and a generic option for everything else. Auto picks one from the task if you would rather not choose.
